how to add linux path environment variable

#Ubuntu 20.04:
# echo 'export PATH=$PATH:/path/to/directory/here' >> ~/.bashrc 
echo 'export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/Android/Sdk/emulator' >> ~/.bashrc
#It's better to put $PATH at the beginning that way
#the new path environment variable will append to the old one
