What You Need to Use This Book

To run the samples in this book, you will need a computer running Windows 2000 or later. The Web Forms solutions require Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) Version 5 or later.

To open and compile the samples in this book, you will need Visual Studio .NET 2003. Most of the samples require Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Oracle solutions require Oracle 8i Version 3 (release 8.1.7) or later.

Some of the solutions require classes that are not installed with either Visual Studio .NET or SQL Server. These classes are mentioned in the solutions and in the installation notes bundled with the example code.
