27.5 Summary
The WMI DNS provider fills a much-needed gap for programmatic
management of a Microsoft DNS environment. In this chapter, we
reviewed how to install the DNS provider, including some of the
caveats for using it on Windows 2000. We then covered the classes
used for managing server configuration along with each of the
available server settings. Next, we showed how to create and
manipulate zones with the DNS provider. Finally, we covered the
various resource record types and their associated WMI classes.
