What You'll Need

Any software you need in this book can be found online for free, including Eclipse. This book was written using Eclipse 2.1.2, as well as an early version of Eclipse 3.0. Chapter 1 discusses where to get Eclipse, as well as how to install and configure it.

I'll also discuss where to get other software, from the Tomcat web server to CVS servers. For that matter, you'll also be developing your own software to use with Eclipse when you create plug-ins in Chapter 12 and Chapter 13.
