You can assign custom project directory for react-native-video
in android/settings.gradle after automatic linking like so:
make sure u paste line before :app as mentioned below
rootProject.name = 'MyAwesomeRNApp'
apply from: file("../node_modules/@react-native-community/cli-platform-android/native_modules.gradle"); applyNativeModulesSettingsGradle(settings)
project(':react-native-video').projectDir = new File(rootProject.projectDir, '../node_modules/react-native-video/android-exoplayer')
include ':app'
