# Note: This is deprecated since python 2.6. Now you must use subprocess.Popen. Below is the example

p = subprocess.Popen("Your command", shell=True, stdout=subprocess.PIPE, stderr=subprocess.PIPE).communicate()[0]
print p.split("
")
