Cardano is Proof-of-stake blockchain platform, instead of proof-of-work which
bitcoin or many other cryptocurrencies are currently working on. Instead of allowing
many to mine and add a block, it chooses randomly based on the stake and the
transation to be created using block. So even if miner tries to cheat, he loses
his stake which is more valuable than the reward for the mined data. But later
after sometime, the miner will get back his stakes, if no one finds any fault of
his data.
