laravel app not loading on server

This is because of your server settings, just copy the .htaccess 
from the /public directory to your root directory and edit like so

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1 [L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
