	Special and Differential Treatment (S and D) ความหมาย คือ การประติบัติแบบพิเศษและแตกต่าง " ในความตกลงต่าง ๆ ของ WTO จะมีข้อบทเกี่ยวกับการให้การปฏิบัติเป็นพิเศษและแตกต่างแก่สมาชิกที่เป็น ประเทศกำลังพัฒนา ข้อบท ดังกล่าวอาจแบ่งกว้าง ๆ ได้เป็น 3 ลักษณะ คือ (1) ข้อบทที่กำหนดให้ประเทศพัฒนาแล้วต้องดำเนินมาตรการเพื่อช่วยอำนวยความสะดวก ทางการค้าแก่ประเทศเหล่านี้ (2) ความยืดหยุ่นในการปฏิบัติตามพันธะกรณีในความตกลงต่าง ๆ อาทิ ระยะเวลาปรับตัวที่นานกว่าหรือระดับการเปิดตลาดที่น้อยกว่าประเทศพัฒนาแล้ว (3) การให้ความช่วยเหลือทางวิชาการเพื่อเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะแก่ประเทศเหล่านี้ "
