	Diplomatic Secretaries ความหมาย คือ ตำแหน่งเลขานุการทางการทูตในสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ตำแหน่งเลขานุการทางการทูตจะมีอยู่ 3 ระดับ คือ เลขานุการเอก เลขานุการโท และเลขานุการตรี ทั้งสามระดับอยู่รองลงมาจากตำแหน่งที่ปรึกษา (Counselor) ระดับทั้งหมดนี้มีฐานะทางการทูต มีเอกสิทธิ และความคุ้มกันทางการทูตทั้งมวล และชื่อจะปรากฎอยู่ในสมุดเอกสารรายชื่อบุคคลในคณะทูตตำแหน่งเลขานุการทางการ ทูตเหล่านี้ อย่าไปปนกับตำแหน่งเลขานุการส่วนตัวของเอกอัครราชทูต ซึ่งแม้จะมีฐานะสำคัญในสถานเอกอัครราชทูต แต่ไม่มีสถานภาพทางการทูตแต่อย่างใด รวมทั้งตำแหน่งเลขานุการ ซึ่งทำหน้าที่เสมียนจดชวเลขและพิมพ์ดีด
